Mr and Mrs Toft Alpacas are still smiling today after another fabulous weekend of alpaca showing at the Heart of England Fiesta hosted by the Bury Farm Equestrian Centre, Slapton, Bucks. Our show team played a blinder and we are feeling pretty proud of our wee selves this glorious morning.

This show is one of the highlights of the year for Toft Alpacas the other being the British Alpaca Society Nationals three weeks ago in Staffordshire. The Heart of England Alpaca Fiesta was yet again magnificently organised by Sue Keen from Backyard Alpacas and run exceptionally style by Julia Corrigan Stuart from CS Alpacas alongside their dedicated team of committed helpers. The show runs like a Swiss Clock on speed and is an all inclusive welcoming event for all from the uninitiated to the new and the well established breeders providing big laughs all round for winners, losers, and the extremely hopeful. There didn’t seem to be anyone miserable in the room- Perfect

The weather was magnificent, England’s Spring appeared dressed in all her glorious finery and the feeling of pride and well being which enveloped me as we drove home was literally priceless. We thank you one and all, Organisers, Judges, Stewards, Exhibitors, Sponsors and all the Staff at the Bury Equestrian Centre for making this Fiesta another unforgettable happy memory.

Toft Alpacas have not missed one year of this show since its inception and we have no intention of doing so, until we can no longer find the way to the show ring. Which we hope will be a very long time coming.

Next year the Heart of England Alpaca Fiesta 2026 will be on the weekend of the 10th- 12th of April. We’ll be there will you? Well then, get the date in your diary now and we’ll see you there with a smile on your face ??
