Toft Alpacas excel at the Heart of England Fleece Show

Another great weekend for Toft Alpacas at the Heart of England National Fleece Show where all but two of our fleeces got in the medals and even our entries which did not get placed returned with very high fleece scores. We lost a fair bit on weight in some of our finer fleeces with is sometimes just the trade off you have to make for a while when you are producing fleeces under 20 microns.

The Fleeces where judged by: BAS judges Val Fullerlove- Fawn and White and Vicki Agar -Colours.

 There were over 180 entries and the standard overall was very high.

Needless to say we are thrilled at the quality of our entries and very excited about where we are heading in the years ahead.  To win just one class is a thrill but to be placed in so many and to achieve such high scores is indicative of the depth we are now achieving in the Toft Herd. With so many great males now producing and proving their worth it bodes well for our future development and we would invite any serious breeders  interested in getting a hands on look at our males to give us a bell and book a visit.

Toft Ison  came  2nd in the Huacaya Black Junior class. Achieving 72.5 pts on his fleece score.

Toft Dubhe came 1st in the Huacaya Brown Junior   class. Achieving 71.5pts on his fleece score.

                Sire: Barrabinda Flinders Star of Toft

Toft Astrophel came 1st in the Huacaya Brown Intermediate  class. Achieving 75 pts on his fleece score.

                Sire: Toft Jaina son of Skywalker of Toft

Toft Rastaban came 2nd in the Huacaya Brown Intermediate  class. Achieving 73 pts on his fleece score.

                 Sire: Barrabinda Flinders Star of Toft

Toft Nashira came 1st in the Huacaya Fawn Junior  class. Achieving 81.5 pts on her fleece score.

Toft Centaurus came 3rd in the Huacaya Fawn Junior  class. Achieving 78 pts on his fleece score.

Toft Jedi  in the Huacaya Fawn Junior achieved an impressive 74pts on his fleece score.

Toft Rohan came 2nd in the Huacaya White  Intermediate class. Achieving 82 pts on his fleece score card.

                Sire: Accoyo Alpacas Aragorn of Toft.

Toft Denethor came 5th  in the Huacaya White Intermediate class. Achieving  76 pts on his score card.

                Sire: Accoyo Alpacas Faramir of Toft

Toft Amarth in the Huacaya White Intermediate class Achieved a respectable 62 pts on his fleece score.

Toft Anduril in the Huacaya White Junior class achieved a very respectable 68 pts on his fleece score.

Toft Agamemnon came 6th in the Huacaya Fawn Adult class. Achieving 71.5 pts on his scorecard.
