Hand Spinners

We have a range of very fine clean alpaca fleeces in all colours to meet your requirements.

We sell fleeces in whole or part, washed or unwashed depending on your requirements. 

Alpaca Fleece is a dry fleece, unlike sheep the fleece contains no lanolin. It is a hard wearing, fine fibre, like cashmere but much stronger. Each alpaca produces on average around 3.5 kgs of useable fibre per annum and we have been led to believe by various hand spinners that roughly equates to 4.5 woolly jumpers per animal. 

There are 24 officially recognised solid natural colours from black to white and every shade in between. The range and depth of these natural colours is one of the alpacas main attractions and has to be seen to be believed.

We sell whole or part fleeces to hand spinners depending on your requirement.

If you’ve never spun it before we will gladly send you a small sample if you get in touch.

Should you be become addicted to spinning alpaca you could always pre-select your fleeces on the back of the alpaca to be delivered post shearing.
